Intro to Famous Artists - Alexander Calder: Mobile Making

Explore the lives of renown artists of the past and present! We will explore highly acclaimed artists, the art movements that inspired their masterpieces, and then create "interpreted" masterpieces inspired by their work. In this class you will learn about the Life and Work of Alexander Calder, Pioneer in Kinetic Art. Learn about working with wire and handling of tools, explore balance, color, motion, form & physics, and complete a project that has lasting value. 

No artistic experience necessary, just enthusiasm and a passion for bringing your unique perspective to life.  *Additional Supply Fee of $10 will be paid directly to instructor at the beginning of class. 

*This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY class and is open for registration for students ages 12+, accompanied by an adult.
