This course is designed to build the capacity and develop skills of lower/operative to middle management personnel across any industry to lead with confidence, develop effective communication, foster professional and positive employee relations, and establish productive and
effective teams. The objective of the training program is to assist participants in gaining a better understanding of the purpose of their role and the foundational and technical skills and responsibilities associated with their position. This two-part, 64-hour course may be taken in isolation or consecutively. A career certificate will be awarded at the end of each part.
- Part 1: the focus is on the foundational skills necessary for any supervisor, including but not limited to interpersonal skills, communication, critical and analytical thinking, and managing conflict. (32 hours)
- Part 2: the focus is on higher-level management tasks, including but not limited to leadership development, mentoring, building teams, and clarifying roles and objectives. (32 hours)
