The Abbey of New Clairvaux is a Catholic Cistercian monastery near Chico, but you need not be Catholic or Christian to attend. Explore this spiritual realm at your own pace with unstructured free time to walk among the gardens, walnut groves and vineyards. Read, journal, meditate, sleep or take part in optional daily church services and Saturday discussions with other participants and with one of the monks. The abbey is on the grounds of what was the world’s largest winemaking operation and has its own award-winning on-site winery.
