Wilderness Survival Training

« back to classes page
CourseGraphic Discover how to survive adverse conditions in the mountains and desert, in the snow, water, or the summer heat. Get the most enjoyment from your outdoor adventures by preparing for potential emergencies. Extra attention will be given to the summertime climate, dealing with heat, low humidity and limited water sources. Learn from a seasoned outdoors person and USMC colonel who ran the Marine Mountain Survival Center about basic survival tactics. Find out what you should bring when you head out into nature. Then, you'll get outdoors and practice building shelters and fires.  *Great for that upcoming hunting adventure or what to do if you have a misguided back-country wilderness adventure where weather, fire, or a wrong turn changes your plans. Families welcome, with children ages 12+.
