EMS Instructor Course

This course is a synchronous/asynchronous 48-hour hybrid course that is intended for EMS professionals to teach CE and initial training in EMS courses. This course was designed using the National Association of EMS Educators' standard curriculum to provide training in learning styles at the pedagogical level, equity and diversity in the classroom, domains of learning, developing lesson plans, teaching strategies, using different assessment methods in both the psychomotor and written domains, and teaching online. You will be required to complete assessments and develop a lesson plan to teach a specified subject to the rest of your classmates. This course, although mostly online with assignments completed through Canvas, has an 8-hour in-person component required for teaching demonstrations and paperwork completion.

Prerequisites: a minimum of a CURRENT State of Nevada EMT certification.
