S-223 Fireline Medic- IN PERSON

This course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed to perform in the role of Fireline Medic (EMPF) or Fireline EMT (EMTF) as a Single Resource on Wildland Fires. Topics include position overview; supplies and equipment; assignments as a Single Resource; lessons learned; Medical Unit Leader expectations; emergency evacuations;  communications; documentation; navigation and responsibilities; wildland safety considerations; and medical emergencies specific to the wildland arena.  This class gives the Fireline EMT/ P or those pursuing the position practical advice on current guidelines for the position.

This course follows the Firescope Curriculum.  NWCG has no certification for this course. If you need a course that meets the CICCS requirements please enroll in the March CA Compliant Course.
