CourseGraphic Learn the fundamentals of bird identification with experienced instructors from the Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance (formerly the Lahontan Audubon Society). This engaging class uses taxidermy mounts and detailed bird photography to strengthen your observation skills and improve identification accuracy. Explore recommended equipment, field guides, and modern tools such as the Merlin Bird ID app to enhance your birdwatching experience. An optional field trip to a local birding hotspot allows you to practice in a real-world setting and build confidence identifying birds in your backyard and beyond. Advance registration is required for all participants.
