CourseGraphic Learn to use your sewing machine while creating several small projects that incorporate many basic sewing skills needed in garment sewing. You will learn how to accurately cut out and follow a pattern, insert a zipper, and finish seams while creating several class projects. Supplies required.

Instructor has an arrangement with Sierra Sewing to give students in this class a discount on supplies and special pricing on sewing machines. If you plan to purchase a sewing machine for this class, please wait until after the first class to learn what features you should look for. Sierra Sewing offers free lessons with the purchase of a new machine and there are technicians on site for repairs and maintenance.

Please read:  Students will need the following items to participate in the class. Additional supplies will be required for special projects. -Sewing machine in good working order with power cord, foot pedal, extra bobbins, machine needles and the machine manual -Good pair of sewing shears and a small pair of scissors -Pins, pin cushion, seam ripper, seam gauge, tape measure -45mm or 60mm rotary cutter with a 24” x 36” rotary mat -Acrylic ruler, 24” long
