Please read:
Materials Needed for Class:
1. Pencil
2. Eraser (kneaded eraser is preferred, but any should do)
3. Ruler (at least 12” in length)
4. Cup or jar for water (I will also have some available)
5. 7x10 watercolor paper (I go back and forth between the Canson XL Series Watercolor OR
the Artist’s Loft Watercolor paper).
6. A selection of black graphic pens (like micron) and a white gel pen (I use “gelly roll”)
7. Small spray bottle
8. Watercolor palette with at least 12 colors (the more the better). I started with the Artist’s
Loft Watercolor Palette which contains 36 colors.
9. A range of Round synthetic brushes from 8 to 0 (optional: size 3/0, 5/0, 10/0 brushes).
10. Optional: Mixed Media paper, size 7x10 for practice sessions. (I generally use the Canson
XL Series)
11. Optional: An old synthetic scrubbing brush (if available, I use an old Round 3 brush)
12. Optional professional watercolor: Opera Rose, Alizarin crimson, Winsor Red, Cobalt
Turquoise Light
13. Optional: palette knife (to be used with the professional watercolors when mixing colors)
14. Optional: Tonal Value Tool (Gray Scale) and/or Color Wheel
